From the first day of the war, our organization www.intellectualleadership.com has been conducting activities in support of children, orphans, the poor, refugees, and the armed forces. This year, all funds from the event will go to support film artists who defend Ukraine. Our festival is created as a platform for communication of free-thinking creative personalities. The film festival has an exclusively international and social character.

The official opening ceremony of the 9th Star Independent International Internet Film Festival will take place at Savor Cinema Movie Theater on December 15th, at 6:00PM. The official closing ceremony of the 9th Star Internet Independent International Film Festival will take place at 6:00PM at Askaneli Premium Restaurant on December 19th, 2023.
We invite you to watch the closing film on December 19 at 6 p.m. To the restaurant @Askaneli for the movie “Slovo House: Unfinished Novel” (English: “Slovo” House: Unfinished Novel) is a Ukrainian full-length feature film directed by Taras Tomenko. This is a dramatic story of Ukrainian writers gathered in one house under one roof, to make them work on behalf of the system. This story is about how a communist paradise turns into a communist hell. According to screenwriter Lyubov Yakymchuk, “This is a drama with detective elements. (…) The tape depicts the Soviet agent, the secret system of its work (we studied it according to the agent’s methods of the time), city life in Kharkiv with theaters and cafes, and one episode also depicts a Ukrainian village that was going through the Holodomor at the time.”

On May 24, 2018, the official closing ceremony of the IV Independent Star International Film Festival was held in the Kyiv Congress Hall. The winners of the film festival were awarded at the ceremony. Shortly before that, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine hosted a screening of the film “Save the Planet” by Leonardo DiCaprio and screenings of the works of the finalists of the film festival.
On October 27, 2019, the official closing ceremony of the 5th International Internet Film Festival “Independent Star” took place.
On October 16, 2020, the official closing ceremony of the VI Star Independent International Internet Film Festival was held at the Sofiivskyi Posad Hotel.
